I almost want a remake with just these sprites. They're that good (at least they would have been for the time).
Apparently someone made a ROM with these sprites. I uploaded a pic at post #3066030.
(Disclaimers: I have no relation with the people who made the ROM. I did not download or test the ROM, so I don't know if there are broken links or bugs or whatever.)
