Why? A trainer can have 1-6 pokemon (and PC's). She can have 1, 2, 3 or 4 pokémon, and those two hidden. I don't remember how was exactly the battle, but Blue said something to Sabrina that hurt her about their respective charms XD. You may know what she said, no answers, I'm going to mangafox.

In the manga, a trainer can have as much pokemon as he/she wants, but six pokemon is the recomended ammount.
