I have my doubts if this belongs to Can't you just fly?, on the grounds that the heights that commercial aircrafts fly at has a much more rarefied air than the air at the heights usually used in Touhou series.
I think this is a reference to a show. I might be wrong and I can’t remember the name of the show, but I remember a scene almost exactly like this one, where a kid and his robot best friend decide to play a prank on some people on an airplane. Like I said I might be way off or they might just coincidences that they seem similar.
