admiral, houshou, naganami, and naganami kai ni (kantai collection) drawn by imu_sanjo

I'm pretty sure that's what is actually happening under a slow burn here. At this point, I'm going to be surprised if imu sanjo caps this series with him getting hitched to Naganami instead of Houshou; Houshou and the Admiral just play off one another so well.

That would completely crush Naganami though. She has been shown to have actual feelings for the guy whilst Houshou hasn't shown it so far at all.
