Eh, wasn't even the first time the ol' girl caught fire. AND most everything valuable was already moved out for renovations, plus the rose windows survived.
At least some people got it before the vocal minority convinced him to take it down.
Considering some of the other stuff that causes controversy, this seems strange. The usual stuff has people making fun of dead people, this is "it's sad that a building caught fire". Maybe it's just people who think anything anime is inherently disrespectful?

Just noticed this after about 2 weeks....oops.
That seemed the long and short of it, with a side of the artist sometimes drawing a piece of a trending topic, such as their Earth-chan pics. Despite this being fairly respectful, some people hated it. However when he took it down and apologized all but about 3 comments were saying he shouldn't have taken it down (or really apologized since he hadn't done anything wrong).
