If you want the technicality, Ovum contains a half-set of chromosomes, which is X. Two Ovums could create a complete set of chromosomes, but there's no way fertilization could occur without any outside influence. There's a technique to make the egg self-fertilize , but it provides more complication than use, since the newly created individual essentially a clone of it's mother.
