Technically there isn't a strict policy "forbidding" self uploads, it's more of a fair warning that it's more likely not to be approved, and people aren't going to hold back their criticisms. If the art is actually good enough, self uploads can still be approved, and have been in the past.
Uploading your own attempt at art theft, however, is definitely high on the "How could you have possibly thought this was a good idea?" list.

If you're not being sarcastic, the user, whom now is banned or deleted his/her account, added his/her nickname in the lower right corner.
I can see the nickname in the picture. I was just curious how he knew it was the same guy who uploaded it. He was really foolish enough to make an account with the same name as pic he uploaded huh... that is kind of dumb.
I was just curious because I thought you couldn't see who uploaded an image unless you were a mod or a builder.

... I can't believe I didn't think of that. So I guess it really does boil down to either he didn't read the rules or there was a spectacular case of failure on his part.
