I too wondered, so googled the last line, and on the search page tripped 'translate this page' on the most likely ( seiga.nicovideo ) and it it showed this:

    .

    https://seiga.nicovideo.jp/seiga/im9496554

    .

Translation: Prints that apply mud to cows [ Prints being Googlese for Princes ]

    .
    Posted by: Misumi's

    .
Prinz "There came a festival in Spain where mud was painted and [i
fired. It was also in Japan."

    .

Have to say, seeing the flames, I initially imagined it was like that revolting little shit Samson in the Bible, who set light to 300 foxes' tails and set them loose in enemy corn [ wheat etc. not maize as corn is rendered in America ] for which I trust like many Bible heroes he is now in Gehenna. Most unpleasant people.

    .

The festival in Spain does seem utterly vile, and merits vigilantes with sub-machine rifles thinning out the crowd:

Video released by PACMA, a Spanish political party focusing on animal rights, shows a bull being set alight at a festival in the Spanish town of Medinaceli.During the Toro Júbilo the creature is covered in mud, then a wooden frame is attached to its head and set on fire giving the impression of flaming horns. This goes on for an “excruciating 13 minutes of torture”, according to the campaigners. The bull goes on to thrash around in what appears to be an attempt to extinguish the flames. The event near Soria in Castile and Leon region, 150 kilometres northeast of Madrid, goes on for two hours.PACMA goes on to specify: “The animal would probably have been blinded because of the fire burning its cornea as well as being injured because of its continuous head shaking as it tried to get the wood loose.”

    https://www.euronews.com/2016/11/17/bull-set-on-fire-during-spanish-toro-jubilo-festival

    .

Let's hope Kancolle here is not doing the same.

Samson is a figure in several religions, and antisemitism is the discrimination against people on the basis of their Jewish Identity. Having issues with figures within the Bible, or the Bible itself, is not antisemitism.

    What are you talking about?

"Antisemitism (also spelled anti-semitism or anti-Semitism) is hostility to, prejudice, or discrimination against Jews. A person who holds such positions is called an antisemite. Antisemitism is generally considered to be a form of racism."

BTW There is a Samson in the Jewish Bible too.

I'm not sure most people here would really be mad with you saying things about their countries, whichever countries those are.

...And? No one's hating Samson because he was Jewish, they're hating him for what he did. People don't get a free pass to do shitty things just due to their race/religion/social standing/etc. If someone does something shitty, they did something shitty, shit like race doesn't matter. If a Jewish/Muslim/Black/Asian etc person rapes someone, is that okay? No, it'd be just as bad if a White guy did it, in fact, they'd be equally bad because you're judging based off the crime, not their race or religion.

Dude, Samson didn't hurt the 300 foxes. What are you referring to? He put a torch between their tails after he tied them in pairs. You are just looking for justification that he did something wrong; he didn't do anything wrong, he was sending the foxes on the enemy. What do you see wrong in that?

Tying them together by their tails still seems pretty shitty to do to animals

But it was necessary because he was sending them on the enemy!

But did the foxes consent to being used as a tool for war?

I gotta say, if anyone from the era of the Samson story saw us making a fuss about the foxes, they'd be baffled. They barely even considered women to be worth caring about, much less nonhuman animals.

Oh no he did NOTHING wrong here.

You misinterpreted it. The torches were standing upward and when the foxes ran, the flames were going upward and behind them. They couldn't catch fire. And when they went into the crops the flames were left on the crops.

No really. Think about it. When the foxes started running they pulled the flaming torches behind them. The flames were farthest away.

I've seen many religous discussions on various parts of the internet, but it's safe to say that I've never seen one like this on an anime image board...
Now, let me add by asking this: sure, the flames were behind them, but the torches were TIED to them. Were the foxes able to get untied from the torches? I'd assume not.
Also, using a drawn image going "look how happy they are" is not even evidence. Someone could draw the apocalypse but have some people smiling and then say "look how happy they are. This is why the world should end!"
Now, with that said, get back to looking at the shipgirl coating a bull with mud in a very confusing image if there's no context. Thank you @ClaverHouse for that explanation, for I was very confused.

Tldr; foxes ties to fire sticks probably burnt, drawn images isn't evidence, thanks ClaverHouse for explaining. And grow some skin StardustNightwind.

I probably shouldn't add to an old thread, especially given the reason I first saw it, but literal firefoxes aren't quite as archaic as you'd think. In WWII the Americans tried training / using bats to spread firebombs in Japan, and the Russians tried training / using dogs to bomb enemy tanks. Neither worked though and lead to the respective military "attacking" their own side. Probably for the best we don't have militarized attack animal suicide bombers.

Can we at least agree that bullying animals is bad?
Except if they're bad animals, like fleas, monkeys, or moderators.
