Since Koishi is unconscious anyway, shouldn't she be the same passed out as she is awake?
(... I admit I don't get how her shtick is supposed to work. :)
To be honest, I'm not super clear on that either, but I believe its more so, she's driven by subconscious whims and impulses instead of conscious reasoning, but being asleep for her is a resting state for her body, her subconscious may still be doing what it does on in the inside as usual, but her body won't just act without her immediate awareness.... either that, or she'll just start sleep walking

From what I remember, seem like Koishi DOES sleep BUT She doesn't dream.
Edit: At least, Doremy confirm Koishi indeed doesn't dream.

Your confusing unconscious with sub concoiuis. She is in a constant state of sub consouiness, meaning she constantly acts on her ID, aka her impulses. In other words shes just like the dream people who act impulsive, hence why she has no dream self and doesnt dream because she already acts like a dream person.
