Honestly this is true. I remember when a friend of mine offer me to get a free drink in Starbucks and I was curious why people even drink it and after drinking it... It is just a glorified coffee. I'm sure there are other cafes that can offer something.

THOSE doesn't even have the requirement to be called 'glorified coffee'. Glorified coffee is when you add a drop of rum to your coffee to make it smell better.

Those are coffee-flavored milkshakes.

Is it that glorified? I mean, does it represent a kind of status?
"Oh, I drink Starbuck, therefore I am superior" kind of mentality?

I drink some "not-coffees" at Starbucks occasionally, I do love my sugar bombs.
But still, I never thought much about it...
