Would doubt it got much damaged, got dropped from basically pocket height of a child…
would really depend on what it landed on, I bet most phones dropped on a carpet face-down would probably survive, even from relatively large heights, like 1 or 2 stories, but even a small drop onto a hard surface can smash the screen. case-in-point, my old Sony Experia SP survived multiple ~5 foot drops onto the carpet or even the tiled floor of the kitchen, but it fell out of my pocket onto the gravel-y driveway, and a small, sharp pebble immediately smashed it as it landed face-down.
