I'm not gonna lie: I tend to completely forget Melina exists after playing the game for a while. I know she can tell you about the surrounding area whenever you show up at a Church, but considering that's pretty much all the dialogue you get out of her outside of the endings, I feel like it's easy for her to fall into the background, especially compared to Ranni.

Melina and Ranni are basically opposite in how they act. Melina uses you to get into the capital and then fucks off when she doesn't need you anymore , while Ranni actively tries to help you if you get into her service and then tries to avoid involving you into more of her mess and even pretends to leave at the end of her quest but in truth goes back to the doll to stay at your side as you face the final boss , acting exactly the opposite of Melina, so of course the community went with the superior waifu.

Let's hope the first DLC to drop will expand more on the Frenzy stuff and we'll finally get the conclusion to the Lord of Frenzied Flame ending and perhaps even more development to Melina.
