Actually ship girls being pretty well paid make sense if you think about it. They're each unique, can't really be replaced, and even in the case of destroys you'd only be looking at a few hundred (or quite a bit less for anyone beside the US and UK)of them total. There's plenty of precedent for the military paying way more to retain or recruit critical specialists. There is a reason things like 'jump/dive/flight' pay etc exist, specialists that can't be easily replaced have obvious value. It's highly probable Shipgirls would be given some bonus based purely on their status like pilots and SF get, how much would depend, but it would likely be substantial, they'd also obviously be eligible for combat pay.

Further most indications are they all live on base which would mean most there living expenses would be covered and they'd probably have access to exchanges to buy various items at cost making much larger portions of anything they do make effectively disposable income. Re-enlistment bonuses for in demand specialists can also get very large, tens of thousands of dollars tax-free lump sums, or even greater for particularly key personnel. (lump sums of up to 150k have been talked about for highly veteran SF troops)

Regular SF troops with say a decade or more of experience are already probably approaching six figures once you consider all the bonuses and particularly if they're deployed. It's likely ship girls would be paid even better then that as they'd be rarer and more valuable then even the most exclusive current special operations troops. It wouldn't surprise me if they were paid at least as well as military doctors who can approach 200,000 dollars annually.

Given the incredible amount of resouces needed to build a battleship, even to use Lambos as gun projectiles would be a minor expense.
