    Ah yes, Scottish.
The most incomprehensible modern English in history versus the most incomprehensible modern English of today.

Whoo boy, this guy has one hell of a life.

I shudder to think what the rest of his family and friends are like.

His mom speaks Esperanto, his dad speaks in Morse Code, and his brother just screeches and clicks like an old-timey modem (his computer works like a damn treat though).

EDIT: One little thing I like is the 'ye point' his sister says at the end; the thorn (Þ, þ) which was pronounced like 'th' (so 'Ye Olde Taverne' was pronounced 'The Old Tavern') was usually rendered in early typefaces as the letter 'y', so it kind of makes sense why she'd say it like that.

Oooh, that's what it actually meant! I always assumed it was some kind of sarcastic "your Old Tavern" or something. You definitely earned an upvote for that.

Hot Fuzz taught me that even English English can be totally incomprehensible.

To be fair, is Welsh even a language? Or just a torrential cascade of meaningless, guttural sounds? I mean, there's a place in Wales called Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, you cannot tell me that's a real language spoken by real human people born on actual Earth, the third planet from the yellow star Sol in the Milky Way.

What Welsh are you talking about? Yes, the Welsh National Spelling Bee would probably drive the Mad Hatter over the edge, but not the accent.

Anthony Hopkins/Christain Bale (Welsh) vs. James McAvoy/Gerard Butler (Scots)...who's natural accent is more understandable?
