Though you're being downvoted, the commentary is suspiciously suggestive.
It's nothing new when it comes to fanart, not the first character and definitively not the last, Bremerton is actually pretty cute but looks like even the devs forgot about it, it's a shame tbh
I don't actually play Azur Lane a whole lot anymore but from what I've seen from the recent quotes they've given some of the new girls I'm not a big fan of the direction they've taken- I always liked the little historical references and details hidden within the fanservice, I think there's still some of that but there's a much heavier emphasis on the fanservice now, which is a shame.
... That being said this is still hot so I'm part of the problem

The closest we've gotten to historical dialog in awhile is pittsburgh talking about shedding her bow in a typhoon. Shame about the rest of her dialog though...

I don't think a higher degree of fanservice is coming at expense of historical parody, rather Manjuu just doesn't care about the historical aspect anymore. Contemporary Azur Lane story and character designs are such that they may as well not be referencing warships anymore.
Whoever added the commentary from the EN Twitter announcement, don't do that. That is not a translation. The Japanese says something completely different.
Honest question, why are comments decrying the huge lean into super fanservice getting super down voted? As an outsider who genuinely enjoys all the rampant fanservice and horny fanart that gets drawn, I don't think that's an unreasonable complaint to have. Maybe the game is starting to lean too heavily into gooner bait that it comes at the expense of good writing and gameplay, I dunno. Personally, while I love fanservice, I wouldn't want that to come at the expense of quality writing or turning good characters into nothing but mindless, horny girls.
I dunno. I'm not too deep into the AL lore or community, I just think it's kinda odd that such observations, which seem reasonable, are getting blasted.
"Personality and history In contrast with her gyaru-ish apperance, Bremerton is actually a friendly and open-hearted individual and, despite a lot of art devoted to her, she is not an "easy" girl, reacting with anger to any undue special touches. As a nod to her historical counterpart's career as a training ship, she usually acts as a mentor and consultant and who is willing to listen to her Commander's problems and encourage them."
Does this fit the new costume? Azur Lane veterans, please weigh in.

The lines say it's just a massage, though there are hints that imply more than that:
Bremerton's Login line: Morning, Commander! Kinda rude of you to fall asleep in the middle of my massage... Heheheh, guessing you want something a little more "stimulating," eh? Bremerton's Details line: We finally got some time to spend together – ain't nothing wrong with doing one or two things that're off-brand for me, right? Besides, it's too late to quit now, so you might as well accept me takin' the lead here!
Even with this new skin, Bremerton is still much more tame compared to most other characters in the game. Just because she's not overtly lewd doesn't mean she's a prude.
Enterprise is another good example; most of her skins eschew fanservice and she hates being Special Touched, but in her race queen skin, she subtly shows off her body: lifting her legs, rubbing her thighs, pulling up the hem of her skirt, undoing her zipper, and even getting heart eyes when you Special Touch her.
Compared to most other characters in the game, Bremerton is still relatively tame. Just because she's not overtly lewd doesn't mean she's a prude.
This is what's always bugged me about Bremerton ever since she released. People took the "not actually as lewd as she looks" thing way too far, like the only options are "slut" and "nun". But she has plenty of lines that show she's self-aware of what kind of impression her appearance gives off, and is perfectly comfortable with it. She doesn't like being special touched if not oathed, like most ships, but she's never acted like a prude. Comment on this fact and people get really angry at you, though.

I wonder if this reflects attitudes of certain people, compared and contrasted to those who decide to ignore that and lean into her surface level looks instead, and thus depict her more shamelessly than she actually is.
This divide kinda reminds me of Metroid Other M when they turned Samus from a strong, confident, professional, and highly skilled space warrior into a weak, overly obedient idiot with obnoxious daddy issues and also lots of Zero Suit butt.
Extra edit: Now, I love Zero Suit Samus as much as the next gooner, and Sexy sexy gyaru Bremerton is really hot, but as I mentioned earlier, fanservice should never come at the cost of competent writing or completely destroying what a character once was. Lots of people like Samus, but if for some reason Samus was turned into a brainless horny bimbo who just shoves her zero suit ass in the camera all the time, loads of people would complain, even the gooners.

That was open to self interpretation because as always Nintendo is too lazy to develop characters with the lame excuse players can make up one by their own. I celebrate a company puts some effort on voices and acting for games. We are not talking about an indie game for only 10 dollars. Even those kind of games today show effort on telling a story instead of making up documents years later, then release a chronological book about the timelines of Zelda.
I am so utterly tired of the internet turning Bremerton into something she isn’t and I’m PRETTY DAMN SURE THIS SKIN IS NOT GOING TO HELP
Unfortunately, you can't stop Rule 34. At least she didn't end up like Kashino, who has a sweet, helpful personality like Bremerton's, but has only gotten slutty skins.
