The tags are used to differentiate between different types of bath water and mineral/herb mixtures in the bath house in Kamikakushi. This design in particular is seen at the top of the pile of tags that the Kaonashi gave to Chihiro.
I've removed the ipod tag since there's no evidence of product placement.
