    Can't get "build itself" to not sound odd in Japanese, and I'm drawing blanks on equivalent expressions.

    @Cassava: Hint on natural-sounding Japanese: Drop 'subjects' (or rather, the 'topic', or the part before the 'wa') when they are obviously implied. First person 'pronouns' are usually the first to go. Second person 'pronouns' are also often omitted (as they can be rude).

    Remember, Japanese 'personal pronouns' are more like nouns. When you need to use a personal pronoun (that is, when the noun is understood), just drop it.
