Impossible. With nearly every person that watched TTGL being a Kamina fanboy, I can't help but wonder why do they ignore Simon, the main guy. Not as badass? The freaking show made it clear that Simon surpassed Kamina by a long shot.

Seconded. Kamina was taken out at the height of his awesomry. Do you think there would be any Kurt Cobain fanboys still out there if he hadn't offed himself? It's kind of like that.

The opposite of badass? Dude, at the end of Lagann-hen he had abs that could rival Hulk Hogan and he was pretty old. If that isn't badass I don't know what is.

Also, I liked that fact that he didn't go out with a bang like most big heroes. He remained humble and that's one of the things I love most about his character.

Probably cause Kamina had the attitude. Simon did not surpass Kamina's attitude and that's what made Kamina so likable.

I'm fine with liking Kamina because of that, but when someone talks about TTGL, it's always about him, never Simon. It gets on your nerves when all the credit goes to him, even though the show, well... showed, that Kamina himself knew that Simon was the one that inspired him to do what he did.

that's because very few people actually watch shows all the way thru anymore. They saw Kamina, he died, and they left. I for one am a bigger fan of Simon, but Kamina is awesome, no doubt about it.

Kamina is awesome, but Simon is the most epic character in the whole universe, if you watched the end of Lagann-Hen, you will understand why Simon makes Chuck Norris looks like a pussy

I only preferred Kamina because he knew how to give speeches. Simon was awesome, but I'll always love Kamina yelling at gunmen, even before he knew what they were.
